SPAWN
In multiplayer games, the place where a dead person or a person that has just joined is born or created.
Spawn camping is a form of camping when a player assaults the position(s) where opposing players just enter or re-enter (respawn) the map. In fast-paced games, the camper has the advantage in that they are able to kill players before they have a chance to collect their starting weaponry or even before they get their bearings and sometimes can shoot them in their back every time. Therefore many games have spawn protection system that gives newly spawned player some seconds of invulnerability, resurrects them at the least inhabited area of the map, respawns in a random location, or displays spawn campers' and enemies' locations on a minimap prior to a player spawning, so they are better prepared for the attack and can be found by already spawned players of the opposite team. Another mechanic employed in games is 'point spawning'. With this method, a player is spawned near a team-mate and not at a specific base. This scheme is not without its disadvantages however; spawning next to a teammate in the middle of combat can be problematic. Although usually not expressly against the rules, spawn camping is frequently considered bad etiquette and some servers will officially enforce a no-spawn-camping rule
SERVER RULES
1. Profanity or abusive language in text is not acceptable.
Disrespectful behavior towards anyone on the †SoG† is not acceptable. You will be kicked if this occurs. If the behavior continues a ban from the server may happen
2. No Cheating!
ANY use of cheatspots will result in an immediate ban from †SoG† servers. There will be no questions asked.
3. No mines at spawnpoints.
Spawn maps have been created to avoid this action. thus if you use the †SoG† spawn maps you will never make this mistake. Mines are great to defend ones position, or kill a sniper in the neutral zone.
4. Don't unbalance the server!
When you join the game, join the team with the least amount of players, if the teams are even then join the team with the lowest score. Joining the team with more players or higher score will get you kicked.
5. Do not call votes on our servers.
Do not start a vote to change the map, ask in text if a map can be played, usually we will accommodate players on the server during the next map change.
**If you are kicked from a game it is because you have failed to obey the rules. You are welcome to return to the server when you understand the rules.**
